Default ID of English Bus on Miss Marple

Hello All,

I just watched a Miss Marple played by Joan Hickson in an episode called Nemesis which featured an old bus in it. I grabbed a couple of screen shots off a YouTube clip that shows the front 3/4 shot and another shot of the back of the bus. Accessed October 26, 2016 from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pE5u0KPbMhA

The episode title is incorrectly labelled it is actually Nemesis Part 1. The bus shots appear at the 27:30 mark. Gee the old buses had style and grace!

Can anyone identify the make and model of the bus?

Kind Regards
Lionel

Episode: Nemesis
Miss Marple takes a coach tour on the distinctive dorsal-finned Scarlet Coaches 1950 Leyland Comet CPP1/Harrington MYA590. Bob Wingrove observes the coach "was painted in a blue/cream livery for the film work, as apparently the BBC liked the look of the coach but thought that the red livery looked too much like a London bus.". The (fictional) fleetname is 'Historic Homes and Gardens', and there are a number of interior and exterior shots:

Hello Tim,

Thank you very much for the reply and also for the link. It is much appreciated

I suppose the buses on screen website makes sense - there are train-spotters and ex-military motor vehicle spotters; um like us So why not bus spotters.

The Leyland looked nicer as a bus - here is what I think looks like the lorry platform a TRI873 1950 Leyland Comet 90 Tipper.. Accessed October 27, 2016 from, https://maltabuses.piwigo.com/pictur...ory/98-leyland

Kind Regards
Lionel
