The crew of that tank must of been one of those that raided Saddam's cavern when he ran. Or maybe Kaddafi's ?
Those tanks were pretty popular in those areas.. They must of thought that was the safest place to put some of it.. But where is the rest I ask ??

Just so happens I have a Chinese Type 69 tank in my backyard...was captured by the British 16th Air Assault Brigade during the last Gulf War. The former owners were the Iraqi 51st Mechanized Division who were decimated outside Basra by the British Airborne. The Brits took the tank home with them as a trophy and it sat guard duty outside their base at Colchester Garrison until it was disposed of in favor of a WW2 vintage DC3, a monument they felt more appropriate of their airborne heritage. The tank kicked around various spots in the UK until we purchased it and had it shipped to Vancouver via the Port of Tacoma Washington.
I awoke yesterday to read the story on HMVF and came to the resolution that there is a high likelihood I am also now a multi-millionaire! Now just need to cut her open, retrieve my gold bullion and finally prove to the better half I was actually right about something...Tanks Are a Great Investment!
