Default Unit Serials book correction

Gents,

For those of you who are in possession of a copy of my book 'Australian Army Units and Unit Serials of the Second World War' ISBN 978-1-62137-479-4, there is an error in Table B on page 214. The units identified as 1st to 10th Aust Auxiliary Heavy Transport Companies should be the 1st to 10th Aust Auxiliary Horse Transport Companies.

Please amend your copy accordingly, and make a consequential amendment to the unit names recorded in Table 1 against the Unit Serials for these units.

Regards

Mike

Mike where can we get a copy?

Also how's that book on Aussie WW2 trucks you and Keith Webb are doing? I might be too old and blind to read it if it's a long way off LOL

They are on demand printed in Australia, if that's where you order it from, so postage is local.

As for 'Desert Sand to Jungle Mud', it is a very big job and we are working on it. Keith keeps finding more great images! You'll just have to get your grandkids to read it to you like a bedtime story (guaranteed to put you to sleep!!)

Alas, the publishers .pdf file is fixed at the time of my original sign-off: you have to remember to correct it when you receive your copy.

Robert,

Any author that tells you his book is absolutely 100% correct - no factual or typographical errors - is trying to have a lend of you!

The error was discovered as a result of further research and was confirmed correct before posting: I think you can rub out the pencil and ink it in.

If I (or anyone else: the book includes an email address for suggested changes, comments, etc) discover any other blunders, I'll post them here, too.

Looking forward to catching up at Corowa.....

Mike
