thank you for posting these photo's mark...my grandfather and two uncles were all with the north shore. look as i have, there never seemed to be too many pics online of the regt. thanks again!!

In NWE all LVTs that supported both First Canadian Army and Second British Army were held and operated by personnel of the British 79th Armoured Division (Hobart's Funnies), whose assets were tasked out in support of either Army's operational requirements by 21st Army Group. Hi there
Here's one showing a rather battered Canadian-pattern MB being backed into an LVT-4 and another of a fitter doing some welding work on the tracks. Must have been an un-ending job. Steve

Notice the original censor's markings. Also, note the lack of background in PA-145769. I've seen the original neg and the whole BG has been painted out (White Out Mk.I) Steve
