Default buying armor in canada

Hi all. I'm a Canadian citizen and am looking to get into buying some armor. Im thinking maybe APC like 113 or 432 or maybe m2/3 half-track. I understand in Canada if i want to purchase a tank, i would need to be registered with the Controlled Goods Directorate, but do i with any of the above? I called them, but they were very vague. Anyone been there and done that?

Thanks,
Andy

From what I understand, the importation process is long and convoluted and requires a lot of patience and some knowledgable people on your side.
I looked into this a few years ago and abandoned the idea by going an easier route; find something here you like.
Unless a fellow is a serious collector that must have a certain piece and has some cubic dollars the end result is questionable.
A deal for a few thosand dollars requires quite a few thousand more after permits, transportation, customs etc etc etc

Further to my last, wheeled armour is light, easy to transport and to license for the road unlike unwieldly heavy tracked armour which is religated to off road fun.
Consider possibly a ferret or if you wish a FV432 which you may find already here

You are within yelling distance of an experienced importer, Markus at Willys Acres. Find him on the net and ask questions.

There are Ferrets and FV432s for sale, and a collector in Kingston selling a couple of other UK vehicles. Prowl back a few weeks to see what he has/had.
