M5 high speed tractor
Hi,
I've got a question about the M5 HST in British service. My question is what units used the M5 HST during WW2 and what artillery pieces did they tow? I hope some one can help me because there is not so much info in the use of the British M5's. regards, Dennis |

M5 photos
Hi! I have a few photos of Allis-Chalmers M5 tractors assembled by Pearsons Brothers of Liverpool 1943-4. No markings are featured other than census numbers. The census number book states that those under S/M 6458 (contract) were for '8 inch 240 mm MG'.

M5
There is no evidence that the British acquired any International M5 HSTs, although it is still possible...there are no Census Numbers known and Bovington have found no record cards.
Both Allis-Chalmers HSTs mentioned were M6s, not just the second Census Number batch. |
