I just picked up a bunch of carrier parts from a freind of mine.

Here is the first few pics of what I got. Ive still got to sort through them all as I filled my car trunk and back seat area completely. I will post more pictures today.

Hi Jordan, Nice find, does it answear my previous question about the mk1 dash, the cables that leave the dash are they grouped together and clamped to relieve the strain on the individual terminals, all other types of carrier dash seem to have this but i have not seen evidence of this on this type of dash, is this a british carrier dash, white face on the ammeter, smiths gauges?.

HI Kevin

The cables all seem to have their own clamps before leaving the dash. Some are in pairs but that is it. This came off of a MK1 Cnd built carrier from early 1943. The ameter is a Cnd one. For some reason that face plate has gone white. Up close it has the black underneath.

What is interesting is that the Instruction plate is zinc (?) whereas mine is etched brass. The Carrier that is 75#'s off of mine has this same style zinc plate.

Of note is the lack of horn button but the two screws are still there. They hold a cable clamp each.

Here is some more bits that I picked up.

Exhaust heat shields, full set of muffler brackets, followme disk and jack block bracket.

I also got 3 of the needed 4 engine covers They are the two with asbestos and the back left side one. The top it off it has the fuel dipstick bracket. I also managed to get the left side fuel tank. Its very holey due to metal rot from the felt pads. However it is all there on the top. I will be looking into getting it rebuilt but not until the spring.

Also got these two little guys. These are for tightening the fuel tank straps down on the MK1 Carrier.

Hi Jordan, Another thing, there is supposed to be two fuse holders in the dash, one I believe is in line with the voltage resistor where is the other?. Any pics?.

Jordan for love of god please be carefull it only takes one spec of asbestos and your a dead man ! make sure you wear a mask and if they are breaking up get shot of em !

however you could take some patterns of them if you wish

perhaps share with the community

if i had known you were after turn buckles i could have got some from a local boat chandlry which could no doubt get items such as this.
