Default Unknown lever - Cab 13

The attached photo was found on the "The Factory Photos" CD-ROM from Service Publications. From the surrounding photos showing a well used frame with an obviously new cab it might be a Chevrolet Cab 13 prototype. I'm not sure of the purpose of the lever that the arrow is pointing to. Another photo shows it as being close to the starter, so I wonder if it actuates the starter switch on the motor (either directly or via the bellhousing mounted system used by 11 and 12 Cabs). On the other hand, I'm used to seeing the Cab 13 starter lever coming up through the floor plate in the same area as the parking brake and working the starter via a rod to the switch on the motor. The offset in the lever arm makes me wonder if they still had too much interference with the parking brake lever and changed the design for production. Can anyone confirm, deny or provide other ideas?

I think it might be for the starter on a C60X. The one I had was like that, just on the 270 GMC engine.

Default lever

Did the C60X have the reverse gear latch on the transmission gearstick ?

Default Dog House

Also looks like the doghouse is a bit lower than usual.
And the instrument panel does only have two switches. The rest seems to be located above the doghouse as on cab 11 and 12.
So it can very well be a very early prototype cab.
For me it also looks like the door panel is a bit different, a bit like on the prototype C8A's backdoor.

Default Early model, transition or prototype...

.... interesting......

has the two speed T case lever.....

No roof hatch BUT a head liner padding like the cab 11/12..

and has previously pointed out the top of the engine cover is short and looks part cab 11/12.......

Location of lever is near the starter..... might be linked directly to the starter due to forward location....

Default Transfer case control lever..Early model.

Grant..
From the parts manual it shows this as an early model transfer case control ..for the frontwheel drive..
The other levers would be the gear shift and the power take off on it ...The C 60 X drove two drive shafts to the rear axles..off the transfer case..full time
It also had a power take off on it ...
As far as I can see by the parts manual..

Default Prototype cab

It's one of a series of GM photographs of the prototype cab in not quite final form.

I bought my copy of the factory photos CD from Clive Law who is the driving force behind the publisher http://www.servicepub.com/ I have no idea what he would have to charge for postage to New Zealand but I'm sure he'd be happy to give you an estimate.
I'm not aware of anyone publishing a CD of the service bulletins for CMPs but Alex Blair sells a paper reproduction of the Chevrolet Service Bulletins (maybe Ford too?) in the same style as his reproduction manuals.

I will be bringing a copy of the GM service bullitins with me to the BBB2 on Friday..
I expect to be there early and don't know what time the activities start or when the events open up..
But any other manuals required I can bring with me at this point if I know what people want..I'll call the order in today and get it started so that it will be ready for next Friday..
Contact me off line or leave me a message or post it here..
