This is the latest treasure I've brought north from 'Mexico'. Can any one recognise the white truck? It appears quite often here

Poachers
Hey Keith,
It looks like Maxes farm truck has done another poaching run south, I suspect they are still sore about the 2 Number 9 gun tractors they lost. Neat truck Robert more info please. So is this the truck your taking to Perth in convoy with Russell?

Hey, Max
I reckon when you retire your farm truck it should go into the CMP hall of fame for the recoveries it has done!
I can hardly complain about poaching vehicles from Victoria I 'spose! Beautiful vehicle, Robert... what's the story behind it?

Sounds like a challenge to me! There's another one which made it under it's own steam, albeit quite some time ago: I drove a FGT number 9 back from Wiseman's Ferry back in 1976... ...and you can hardly count the second Tojo trip The ones we all need to watch out for are those predatory crow eaters!

Robs Truck
Yes them crows can be annoying the buggers were in my back yard only a few months ago, shot a couple but two got away with a semi full of bits.
I think the real danger now lies in the Chinese and their thirst for steel. Local TV adds here late at night are offering farmers cash on the spot for old trucks, tractors and cars. This is going to really hurt the collector looking for spares as farmers who are cashed strapped because of the drought are just selling their mess up. If you are a collector in my area of Australia you can watch the trucks comming into twon every day now.

Nice truck, Robert. Could do with a tune-up though, it only seems to be running on six cylinders!

The truck comes from Echuca from a guy who's now in a wheel chair and can't look after it. Maybe one of you guys can decipher the chassis number for me. It is 4215M959. Does the 42 mean its a 1942 model????

Crownie on board
Hey Emma, I forgot to mention that your dad asked if I would put some additive in the diesel for the trip, so not having any Vegimite with us the nice man where I got the truck offered a Crownie for the job! That arm you can see is my faithful hard working co-pilot Ashley.

Faaaawk Faaaaawk!! Excuse me, here I am sitting here minding my own business and getting verbally abused. We here are pure conservationists protecting the cultural heritage of our great country. We have a duty to rescue these vehicles and preserve them so that others, especially our Canadian CMP depleted friends, can conduct historical tours to South Australia to view their lost heritage. I am mortified that our rescue missions are viewed in other lights instead of recognising and thanking us for our most pure intentions. Saint Bob |

Verbal abuse is often best used when the victim is minding his own business, especially when it gets such a good rise! And cultural tours to South Aussie? I reckon it's going to be another scam - you'll charge them high entry fees to see "CMPs" made out of papier maché while you secretly drive the ones stolen from other states... Still, you do have a point there - where else can a man go out hunting on a Saturday morning with the certainty of discovering a new CMP? Don't you just love this country?

pure intentions. Faaaawk Faaaaawk!! what new cult have you started over there, (probally involves bank vaults) Now what about your North Eastern countrymen they too are engaged in the practice of restoration and preservation for the benifit of humanity(I tell my wife the last bit when I spend some cash))

Now what about your North Eastern countrymen
Hi Mark - I recognise the above. In fact several of them have incorporated my restored panels in their vehicles. where else can a man go out hunting on a Saturday morning with the certainty of discovering a new CMP? True point Keefy - found this one the other day. No plates unfortunately. Will be GTG with the cab going to another Blitz on a property that still has working Blitzs. I've yet to view these but that field trip is imminent. And don't be too derogatory about our cultural trips, they were also going to promote some videos and DVDs about Blitzs but I can't remember who made them. Perhaps you know. Bob PS - as a personal warm and fuzzy feeling, I think this is my 700th post. Boy doesn't time fly. |

Trips
Ahhh yes, those are vital cultural trips and you are a fine ambassador... what was I thinking?!
As to the videos... Hmmmmm yes, I think I know the guy who does them... short, stocky, balding.... constantly has a camera... So go forth, Ambassador with a Semi trailer, off to the NORTH-EAST to spread the good word and keep on rescuing those cultural icons from the dreadful clasp of the scrappies.

Score: NSW 100 Tiring of the NSW scene, he then returned his 100 trucks to Kingaroy Score: Qld 100 This was a heck of an effort and as a reult, Ken has now gone to a place where it is rather difficult to take any toys. The trucks have also joined many others that have gone to the great Vehicle Park in the sky. Score: Scrap metal metal dealers 10s of thousands. However, the small numbers also make a difference. In dribs and drabs, this man (Face hidden to protect his identity) has also quietly been bringing trucks back from BOTH Vic and SA! Score: NSW at least another 6. |

Of course, any Interstate pillging trip is a major undertaking, so if you are going to strip another State of it's Heritage Tourist attractions, you may as well make a good fist of it.
Here we have Two Ford Blitzes and an ACCO tray fleeing for sanctuary in NSW. I think there was still room on the truck for a couple of 2 gallon POL cans, at least: |

Hedges transport service and towing
Keith, do you recon that everything that transported on my dads mitsu oil burner, should be part his. He dose. Except for that toy dodge of Russells, its to broke. But if he fixes it we may reconsider.
