New project photos
Here is a photo of my new project, I thought some of you may be interested even though its not a CMP, or even Canadian for that matter. It should be an interesting restoration, make no mistake, its a basket case and a long-term and pretty expensive project.
I have not gone over to "the dark side", well perhaps just a brief flirtation. Please note it did not come with any silly dress-up clothes or swastika laden pajamas. It's got some interesting history which I am trying to confirm, nothing earth shattering but neat. Once I confirm it, I'll share. |

Yes, its original
The bike is a 1943 BMW R 75. It came with a sidecar (inncorect one) but it is surpisingly original from a parts perspective. The captured bike in the other photo I believe is a BMW R12, the smaller (500 cc) brother to the R 75.
I have attached a photo of what I believe is the same bike somewhere in Ontario in the late 50's. The bike went to the US in the 70's I believe, and came back in pieces and it appears it has been dissasembled for many years and moved around alot before I got it. It still has Ontario plates from 1962 on it. It should be interesting beside a CMP at a OMVA show in a few years. |
