18 x 15ft square, dated 1944. Heavy canvas Tarp £300 plus postage, £15.55 within the U.K.

Extrapolating from my own canvas i suspect a 10 foot box on a cmp.

What an interesting colour, Kevin. This is the second such time I have seen it. The other was a wartime tent in a photo somewhere, years ago. And I think it was also a Canadian made piece of kit.

I wonder if Canvas Makers were another group that had problems getting consistent supplies of traditional dye ingredients during the war and had to fall back on alternate, less stable compounds?

Nice historical find, none the less. If I was into canvas items, I would be all over it for its uniqueness!
