Default Work?

Perry,

I am scheduled for a couple of days of 'work' at Petawawa mid-November, if you can wait.

I will be taking some high speed photos, but also need some stills. I shall snap away until my security pass runs out.

See you at Parkwood.

Just got done washing 'er up this afternoon, then did a complete hydraulic warmup and tested it out.

It's working just fine. Now we wait for the other 4 to get here.

I'll get some pictures sometime tomorrow for you in between sports.

Regards

Thanks gentlemen. I take it we are talking about the Leopard 2A4/A6. The black hatted folks should be crewing nothing that does not have tracks and weighs less than 40 tons.

Forgot about these ones. I was the only one in the squadron qualified to unload it from the lowbed.

Now that I have some time during leave, here are some more pics of me and ze panzer.

This was during a trial with an up armoured tank. We didn't get to keep her, she was needed elsewhere after the trial was completed.

Just a bit of an update we now have 2 in the lines and are currently waiting for 3 more, possibly with an ARV as well.

They are due to arrive over the holiday leave period. Needless to say it's going to be very busy getting them ready for the upcoming exercise in Ft Bliss in the new year.

Regards

What a lane looks like after we do our work...the tines had a bit of difficulty getting through the frost.

This is not a problem in Afghanistan, there is no frost.

Here's what the Mattawa Plain looks like after a half hour's work by a tank crew.

Each lane is 100m in length and the large building is actually over a km away.

Might save us some time if whoever did the up armour package knew what they were doing and flagged the torsion bars properly and the guys who supposedly did the F3 did the job right by doing a rolling halt.

Clap trap of a job. Surprised it did as well as it did under the circumstances.

202 workshop my sweet arse.

Default Leopard plows

What are these two plows for? Looks like they plow both sides of the path, and not the center. As long as you don`t hit a big rock or a tree you`re OK,eh?
