Canadian Women of courage-Floodlights among the Fighting
Just watched this documentary on History channel about entertainers oversea during WW2.Lots of CMP's & bren gun carriers throughtout the whole hour, even a scene of a C60 towing an 8-wheeled trailer. Even the imprompto stage was made up of two C60's backed up to a stage with the dressing rooms being inside the back trays. The show is probably on later tonight as a repeat.Highly recommend viewing.Go to Historychannel.ca for purchase of the video.

Women of Courage
Hi Garry, Shadster, and all,
Here is a link about the programs. http://www.historytelevision.ca/tv/s...itle_18287.asp Garry, I watched that episode you posted about too ... was very moved by the womens faces and voices as they "remembered and told their stories" and by the film footage shown. It's good to see the women of war get more publically recognized and acknowledged for their many parts and contributions to WW2 in this case. I'd love to own copies of this series. Karmen |

Roses vs Rosies???
Hi Charlie ... would that be "ROSIES" rather than "Roses" of the North? ... or was that a little typo? Too busy thinking about CMP's and such are you?
