Default Aust Ferrets on Exercise

I have posted these on the REMLR forum so I thought I would share them with you.

I have recently spoken to the daughter of the serviceman who took the photos. Unfortunately he is very ill and in hospital. The daughter will endeavour to find out exactly where these photos were taken and let me know in due course. All she knows is that they would have been taken somewhere in the eastern states.

Default Ahh F#@erret!

Yes, eastcoast with those low id numbers.
I like the shots of the hub repairs - at night, in the sand, poor light and a bloody great hammer. I would have put the spare under it looking at that jack!
Great shot of the RAEME wrecker, any idea what was written across the front?

Default Excellent images

I have some from John Belfield's album of exercises conducted in the 1960s at Yanack in the Wimmera at a time when many of the specialist CMPs such as 400 gall tankers and workshops were still in service.
