Hi Jim
Yep. It's still here. More that happy to trade. That goes with anyone else as well. I would much prefer bits to fill in the blanks on my carrier.

According to a older air mail post price list it would be $115.75 Aussie dollars.
That's with a tracking number.

Jim, When you get the gear and sort it all out we'll talk. All good, just say when.

Nigel

OK I'll knock a few up, I'll let you know the cost after the steel has been cut.

That is a strange gun mount, I wondered if they'd cobbled together something from the tripod! There could be a digit missing from the end of the number, nice shot of the Bren mag bag next to the gunners slot. I need to find one of those, I have the steel mount but no bag.

From a practical point of view, I reckon the driver of the carrier had a big say in that design of Bren mount, by mounting it slightly further back it lowers the chance of him getting hot brass down his neck..... And having had hot brass down my neck during exercises I can say it sucks big time !! Especially under sustained rates of fire.

Just a thought :-)

Default insulator

The insulator parts have arrived. They came out very nicely and those that asked for one can expect an email over the weekend to arrange delivery.

They will look great on top of Nigel's mast base, It's all come together quite well with members from all over the world contributing. Can't wait to fit mine to the Scout.

Photo below to compare to an original.

Default cast mounts.

Gents,

I have two Brass serrated aerial Mk1 carrier castings up for grabs, these require finishing with the bottom attachment for the chain and some exterior cast marks cleaning off. £80 each or trade for carrier bren loader box or No 22 carrier mount for 19 set radio x 2.

kevin.
