Default universal carrier Mk.11*

I need to renew the exhaust system on my carrier. I think I saw that you could use exhaust boxes from a French make of car. I also think that I saw this on this forum. Any help would be appreciated. thanks, John.

Yes, Citroen Saxo back boxes (there are two types, oval or round) then chop the hangers and pipes off.

I obtained pre formed stainless dairy pipe with correct bends then made up the pipes as per the originals... I will try and find an image for you

This was during mock up, I subsequently Tig welded the pipes and dressed them back so no welds visible.

Thanks to Kevin Powles who loaned me the remains of an original can in trade for supplying an original exhaust manifold down pipe.

System works when folk work together !

The dairy pipe bends and straight sections can be obtained cheaply at Thomas Potters if there is one local to you (they are a national firm)

Remember the bottom bends on the drivers side can are different to the gunners side. Tack them up and offer them onto the carrier before final fitting.

I have four sets to do in the coming months !
