Default T-16's in Calgary Highlanders' Anti-Tank Platoon

The Calgary Highlanders had 12 T-16's in their Anti-Tank Platoon in 1944. Six towed the 17 pdr. six carried ammo. I have a list of all their numbers if anyone is interested.

Might as well post it on the forum. I'd be interested in seeing what you have on the vehicles as well.

Default T16 and 17 Pdr

Hi Peter:

Could you confirm that the guns in question were 17 pdrs not 6 pdrs?

The 17 pdr would be a stretch to pull with a T16!

Cheers, Mike

hi Roddy

I don't know if you have seen this thread I started the other year. Although there are no numbers given it lists all of the vehicles that some of the units within 4th Brigade, 2nd Cnd Inf Div had. These are scans of the originals written by the late Cpt. Forbes of the RHLI.

Default Numbers

I have a complete numbered list of all vehicles used by QOR and Calgary Highlanders in WW2. Also have several different lists of vehicle tac signs in WW2. Difference between 1942 and 44 is dramatic. Also have the complete invasion package issued for D Day for QOR. And a complete colour copy of this. More, more more.

You will immediately notice how important this forum is to me in order to capture & ident T-numbers...!

All other lists for any other T-number contracts would be v welcome indeed. I have idents for about 12,000 vehs - unfortunately not a large percetage of the 335,000 issued !

Default T-Nos (pt 2)

Peter et al -

The Ford contract S/M 1131 was for T-92001 to T-107000 - all noted as Carriers Universial.

Now to plug in the 12 numbers fm the Calgary Highlanders...
