M3A1 White Scout Car, Hinged rear plate?
In a different thread I noticed some photos of White Scout Cars with hinged rear plates.

The rear tail light limits travel for both. B8148.jpg.469b06ecfb69bff0becd865b14ea864d.jpg The early lots 1 and 2 (and maybe more),had two piece rear plates but they were not hinged. Why are the rear plates hinged? Thanks Rick.
