Default Total Lack Of Respect

I know this has nothing to do with carriers but felt I just had to post this.
Apparently this happened last night, a total lack of respect to our veterns!
Vandals damage Fredericton cenotaph, angering vets.

Default Shame

What a shame, some people just have no respect, I wonder if there is a way that the MLU community can help that community get it's memorial back, I for one am willing to donate some cash to help in the repairs.

It really bothers me being an ex serviceman my self when I read about people urinateing on war memorials, damageing cenotaphs. They must have no morals. I guess they don't know how much they owe the verterns both living and dead, or even care

Default Cenotaph damage

Hold off on the finger pointing.

At Mike Dorosh's site (www.canadiansoldiers.com), q. v., there is another possible, physical explanation having to do with recent rebar repairs and the wx effect on the granite.

I agree with Jon. I don’t think that it was vandals. In some photos I’ve seen the surface were it broke appears to be badly stained with rust; meaning that the base of the cross was cracked for some time, and most likely fell down due to poor upkeep.

Hi,
I heard on the news that a lot of people and buisness is offering money and time an expertise to fix the monument

Well, whatever the cause, ex Prem Frank McKenna and his company have put up $25000 to help fix it. The truth is too many old monuments are in bad shape, and don't get the preventative maintenance they need.
