Default Was previously listed at $22K

I have driven in that truck..... it's a riot...... and it floats.

Price is getting very attractive but too much for my wallet.... besides I am bespoken to CMPs .......

There were seven made...one was destroyed during Letti testing..... 6 were sold by Crown assets....one is in Kars..one in Borden I believe... this one in Cantley outside Ottawa... one was listed on Ebayin the Vancouver area 5 or 6 years ago... on e painted beige/sand color with no top giving rides on the East coast.... still one not accounted for.....

These were hand made prototype... all aluminium construction...light for its size....... with 14x20 tires it has a very soft foot print.

Nice if it was redone and stayed in Canada.

Default m38/m151 Frankenstein

I came across the following ad on Kijiji and something caught my eye that just didn't look right.

http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...dIdZ234272672#

Is it me or is that not a M151 tub on a M38 frame with the front clip somehow joined to the tub?

Anybody know the owner? Just wondering how that was classified coming through the border and what it is registered and plated as now.

One good thing about it... I bet the owner has never gone to a show and pulled up beside 15 more vehicles just like his...

Default Look closely....

....the base is not an M38, it's a CJ2A civilian. And the owner insists the work was done by the US Military.
He has imported another jeep from the US and is having it restored.

Stay tuned.

If only for the sake of the children, I hope he isn't having the next one restored to look like this one.

This is one of three heavy military 5 Ton dual rear 6 wheel drive cargo trucks gas version PTO front and rear some with winch. 2 of these had full ground up refits at factory engines tranny drive train axles interiors and paint and came out of rebuild and never went back to military. they have between 25 and 35 miles on rebuild and total miles is about 35,000. some spare parts. these ran when parked and stored with fogged engine and antifreeze. These are not the old style 50s style deuce or 2.5 Ton. These are still used in US military today. They sell used on open market at between 12k and 20k based on condition yours now only 3k. First come get the rebuilt ones with almost no miles!
Truck 1 Rebuilt with winch $6,500
Truck 2 Rebuilt with winch $5,500
Truck 3 good condition not rebuilt no winch $3,000

It sounds like there is more to the story....
I wondered why the ad doesn't show one of the fresh rebuilds instead of the other one, or does it? After all, why not show off the best to attract buyers?

Default No Worries

Bill, You can unload the shotgun. I don't think any of the Barn Boys will be doing any border raids anytime soon (until the summer, that is).

Any news on the Fredericton HUP?

Regards, as always,

Clarke sends

Rob; Not worried so much about border raids as libel, slander, etc. I had supper with "The Bard of Maces Bay" a week or so ago, and understand there will be a recovery from that loc come the good weather.

Default Kijiji

Hi Kostas

link to Toronto Kijiji: http://toronto.kijiji.ca/

From the website: "Kijiji is Canada's most popular free, local classifieds site. Kijiji offers a convenient, fun, and easy way for people in the same city to buy, sell, trade and help each other out in areas such as goods, cars, services, housing and jobs. The word "kijiji" (pronounced like key-gee-gee) means "village" in Swahili. This name was chosen because it captures the essence of what we are creating - a site where people can connect with others in their community. "

If you go to the bottom of the page you will see links to the same thing for many other countries. Here is the link for Greece:

http://www.slando.gr/

Hope this helps. Enjoy your new HUW.

Cheers,

Brian

Default Post-war vehicles for sale on kijiji.ca

Far be it for me to besmirch or run down anyone trying to sell something, but I really think I should make others aware, as some may not know as much as I do.

This advert http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ278922552 has appeared on www.Kijiji.ca and purports to be a vehicle in Canada.

I have spoken to the advertiser by phone and he told me it is road legal and ready to go.

The sharper eyed ones of you may notice that the turn signals are not present at the front so it would NOT pass a provincial safety anyway.

The even keener eyed ones might notice that the Ford parked behind is actually UK registered. On pointing these issues out the seller backed off and admitted that it is not in the country as yet but could be.

Just thought the unwary should know.
