Default Found: 34 ft Vertical Aerial, stays and Leather bag

I recently found this at a military car-boot sale, wasn't sure what it is other than being Canadian, but saved it as am sure someone will know and can enlighten me.

Manufactured by Campbell in 1944,

...all you need is bait and you can go fishing with it. You can use the worthless spike as an anchor!!!!!

would take it off your hands if it was not for the shipping cost.

Where these aerials only used by Wireless Trucks? If so, probably of limited interest.
The guy I bought it from had a HUP years ago, and this just got left in the garage.

We were still using them in the late 90's.

The only really important bit is the insulator (that looks like a flying saucer) .
