I'll start with the speaker but I think it goes with the wirelss set attached.
These all come in a bag so is quite portable. So what era are we talking about? Looks 1960's but I don't know. First, the speaker. The wireless out of it's bag. The wireless id. plates. Thanks Rick.

It is post war as you thought. It went with the VRC family of radios and some PRC/GRC sets as well. Typically used in mobile setups.
