Nothing to do with this topic, but as a little tribute to Bart, here is a photo I took in about 1970 at Bart's house in RedHill when I first visited him of his Chev HPU Computer CMP.
Edit: Sorry, his is the one on the right. Bill

Thanks for the caption correction Hanno:
I had forgotten after 36 years or so that the ambulance was his also. He had some friends with vehicles that would come to visit sometimes when they knew I was coming to Bart's and I assumed it was one of theirs. Of course, had I looked at the front bumper, I would have seen the ever so obvious "BHV" there. Here is another taken at a different time of the Computer vehicle. Bill

Nice to see those
Nice pictures- always glad to see new HUP pictures. I suppose it's to Bart Vanderveen's credit that I became interested in CMP vehicles - having seen them here and there as a kid and only knowing them as those flat-nosed "army trucks," then stumbling across his C8A articles in Wheels and Tracks found in a local hobby shop in the '80s,, and following from there, realizing the significance of CMPs, discovering our local club Prairie Command in the '90s, all of which now finds me with a HUP restoration project on my hands.
I suppose it was all fated, as my initials are CMP - go figure.
