Well the time has come for me to reluctantly sell my 1942 MB Willys Jeep. Which I lovingly restored. I have had a lot of fun with it, appeared in two magazine shoots, regularly carried WW2 veterans in the annual Anzac Day March and participated in regular re enactment events. I am hoping the old girl will go to a good home where she will be loved an cared for.

I will no doubt find another project vehicle that is more suited to my rather large frame. I have put some details of the sale below and should you know of anyone looking for a WW2 Jeep then let them know.

1942 MB WILLYS JEEP - Engine No: 372348. Chassis No: MB163331
OWN A PIECE OF MILITARY HISTORY.
This is a unique opportunity to own what is one of the most popular military vehicles of WW2. My jeep has been restored as a ground up project as a labour of love. Nothing was spared during the restoration and if something was not quite right it was replaced with new. The Jeep was painted in Desert Colours to reflect the service of Australian Troops in the Western Desert Campaign in WW2.
The Jeep is on club registration which is not transferable.
The Jeep is Left-Hand Drive and is completely original with no rust. The Jeep has always been garaged out of the weather. The Jeep drives very well for a vehicle 72 years of age. The Jeep does not blow smoke and has served me well; it does however leave its mark, as most old veterans do. It is fun to drive and is a very collectable Jeep.

All the hard work has been done. Some of the parts replaced with new during the restoration:

• New set of Shockers Fitted.
• Reconditioned rear Diff.
• New fuel pump.
• New Carburettor.
• Converted from 6 volt to 12 volt system.
• Complete new wiring Loom.

• New universal joints and tie Rod Ends.

• New Stop-Tail and Turning LED lighting system.
• New Starter motor fitted.
• New Exhaust system.
• New exhaust Manifold.
• 4 x New Bar Tread Tyres fitted.
• Oil Filled Air Cleaner replaced with new Cartridge type.
• New Free Wheeling Hubs fitted.
• New head gasket, Engine Head Shaved and new Thermostat fitted (Recent).
• Engine Head Bolts replaced with new Studs and Bolts.

Hi Guys

A quick note to advise my 1942 MB Willys Jeep has been SOLD. I will be sad to see the little Jeep go as I lovingly restored it and know every nut and bolt. It has been sold to NSW so I am sorry to advise another vehicle gone from SA.
