Default Progress finally

I made no progess, more or less, with any of my vehicles last year, and only got a around to buying parts and adding a couple more vehicles to the collection (Like I need more ) But getting a baby and a moving sort slowed every thing down.
But now the my garage at home is sort of up and running so it was time to get back on track.
The CGT I bought in Norway, was missing the rear roof ventilation hatches, which was bugging me, but now this can be rectified, with the help from some friends.
The hatches are spring loaded to keep them open/closed, very simpel construction but I had to have friend fold the main part of the hatch for me, since my folder was not capable.
A small step but in the right direction

And a bit more made on these final days of the year.
Tomorrow it will be experimenting with the rivets on the stay open bracket.
Happy new year

Hatch stay opens have been riveted now.
And I don’t think that there are many my age or in this country, that would as thrilled as I am about, these three pieces of tread plate.
(original floor plates for a gun tractor)

And some grinding, filing, cursing and I got most of the welds removed and the pattern of the plate reestablished

Default Lots of work but worth it.....

.....my cab 11 had the main side to side plate butchered with a torch BUT had a spare floor....... actually used a almost new pass side front panel to cut a piec to match......did a lot of grinding to fit the dot and dash pattern....welded mostly from the back..... used J-B Weld and a Dremel hobby grinder to literally sculp the top side...... once painted looks perfect. Even sourced some NOS machined screws for the panels.
