Default Australian LP2A carriers

Hello Carrier owners,
I may be in Australia the first two weeks in December and I hope to visit with some carrier owners to gather info and take some photos so I can finish my restoration. If anybody can spare the time and I can meet up with you I would appreciate it. I will not have a real travel plan so almost anything goes!
Thanks, Carl

Default Australian Carriers.

Let me know when you are passing through on the highway between Sydney and Melbourne.
You can stop in here at Bandiana and take as many shots as you like.
If you bring your own paper, you can photocopy information too.

Hello again Ian
Thank you for the offer! I do not have a travel plan yet so I will check out a map and plan accordingly and let you know if it works out. I am searching for military museums to stop at also.
Thanks, Carl

Well if you are looking for miltiary museums, the Army Museum Bandiana is a must.

There are some photos of bandiana on these pages . Unfortunately most of the photos are of land rovers, but there are other vehicles in there, REMLR is just Land Rover based.

Default Australian Visit

Hello Carl
You need to plan really well as this is a big country. You also need to plan quickly as your arrival appears to be imminent. The best answer for you is to put yourself in the hands of the MLUers that have responded so far. Two weeks in this large country is not enough time as a stranger.
Bob

Hell, I was no 'stranger' in that regard, and in a month I barely scratched the surface, and that only between Melbourne and Sydney! It'll take one hell of a lot more than that, so Carl, follow Bob's advice and run with the contacts you've been given - you will NOT regret it!

Just mind Max's place... if you're not vigilant he'll start chucking spiders and snakes at you without warning...

Default Museums

Hi Carl

Here are some shots from Bandiana I took some months ago. Excellent place to visit.

Be sure you don't miss the tank Museum in Puckapunyal near Melbourne.

Unfortunately, John Belfield's museum is now closed.

Enjoy the hospitality of Max & Kathy in Yass! Perhaps you'll get a ride in the carrier and you see the "famous mystery tunnels" ;-)

Greetings from Switzerland
Chris

Default Carl has arrived safely

We met up with Carl and his mate for dinner at Pete's (Chris will know where that is). The will be coming back out in the morning to help start the carrier as we have to take the carrier to a Christmas party tomorrow for Santa to arrive in.

Hello All
We are here at Max's enjoying his hospitality? We were told that Ganmain was the center of the Cab 12 universe but I think we found the blackhole in the Cab 12 universe! All of them appear to have been sucked out of the surrounding areas and land here!
regards, Carl
PS Having way to much fun!

Default Carl

they are now heading down the Hume Highway towards Albury
Had a good day in Canberra at the AWM and couldn't make it back here for roast lamb as they have a tight schedule.
