Default Mmmmmmmm - Marmon Herrington

Another picture from Euan McDonald. Original paint and remains of the workshop recovery tray on this 6X6.
It's not for sale, sadly.

What about this one, eh?!?!

Could it be that "http://www.oldcmp.net/Images/collections/Wilsons/Marmon_2.jpg" means this truck is owned by Ashley Wilson?

Default Ash

Ahhh yes, I didn't recheck the page, did I?:

Ashley only has one Ford in his extensive collection and it's not that one! He's a Chev man through and through.

There are many hundreds of kilometers separating the locations too.

Default Marmon For Sale

Hi All - here are some further details about the one for sale. See Hanno's images.
Quote:
All the parts required for the restoration is there, they include the 15,000 lb winch, and the 2 ton Dawn winch, the towing arms are there, they are the ones attached to the rear just below the pintle hook, you will see in the pics. The crew seat is there plus one spare, the tool box that goes behind the cab, long range fuel tank that sits in that tool box, cab seats have been reupholstered, the dash instruments were done up years ago, will throw in a coil of brand new canadian vanadium steel wire rope for the large winch.
Attached is an image of what the truck looked like originally.

Default Marmon For Sale

As you should have expected, I am in contact with the owner and assisting him with a sale. I have no financial interest in this but it would be a great vehicle to restore.

Attached in this and the next post are images of other bits available

Also see For sale: 1942 Ford/Marmon-Herrington 6x6 truck.

This was probably a "Lorry, 3 ton Breakdown (Aust) No 3A" once also:

For more survivors of the Australian Breakdown truck, albeit the CMP C60X-based version, see
