Default Mortar bomb ammo boxes

here first as a courtesy to members 4 Mortar Ammo Boxes wartime dated ex Polish Free Army (tragic story with them) at £20.00 each plus postage/also CMP seat pad £20.00 plus postage some russian post-war radios in original transit boxes and box of empty 37mm cases(russian)....regards to all,having a shed clearout prior to filling it all up again at beltring!!!! malcolm

Do you have pics or can you copy the data stamped into the lid or the base of the boxes. Are they B.166 or B.167?

Are they 2 inch or 3 inch or 4.2 inch mortar round boxes?

I am looking for 2" inch

boxes are metal with hasps....from memory an early wartime date...problem is they are right at the back of the shed so will have to move mountains to get at them!however will do it over the weekend and will have pics ready by monday night...best I can do! regards malcolm

gentlemen have taken the pictures but unable to download same until brains gets back here on monday! 1 box marked LAY/C 1 1942....2nd marked AB/1 SF 1942 3rd... C 224...FT 1944 last marked C 636....!....1944 2 boxes marked to a Capt.Fraser......best regards malcolm.......

C.224

Will await the outcome of the pics appearing on Monday. I don't have my sources to hand at the moment but when I do I should be able to ID the C.1. C.636 is a higher number than any of my sources mentions. I don't recognise the markings on the second box.

Richard many thanks Ill do that...one of the old Regt veterens I look after has been passing blood al night so Im off to the Freeman in Newcastle with him...so will have to put things on hold for the moment.regards malcolm
