Default GMH cab 13 history

Been reading Norm Darwin's book ' 100 years of GM in Australia' He has included a few pages describing how and why GMH modified the Canadian 13 cab to suit the local conditions and the simpler tooling that GMH came up with.

Default Army requirements

The army requested the following :

A compass nesting box fitted to roadster cabs ( sunshine roof )

A key ring welded to the instrument panel

Spade clamps and retainers welded to the underside of the roof behind the drivers head

Sun visor fitted to front roof rail on drivers side

Canvas windshield blinds for fitment to the windscreen when in the open position
