Default Interesting Solution to Chev Oil Leak

Hi All

I was looking through some of the back pages of the JIM CARTERS Web site http://www.oldchevytrucks.com/ and happened to click on the Articles Tab http://www.oldchevytrucks.com/blog/ which has as one of its sub choices Technical Articles http://www.oldchevytrucks.com/Technical-Articles.asp . Any way there is a lot of interesting stuff for us Chevy nuts, including this rather interesting approach to solving the problem of valve cover leaks caused by warped covers. http://www.oldchevytrucks.com/blog/i...216-oil-leaks/

Default Fantastic.....

Wonder if we can make one out of wax....... and cast some of them devices..

Making the the 3/4 steel band with a jig should be simple enough....

Sounds like a Winter project....... can prototype using lead then move to brass or aluminum ( old tranny cases and pistons)

Just chain an oil drain pan onto the frame under the engine, with an electric pump at the low end running the leaking oil back up to filler hole on the 216 chev engine.

Ford Flathead all the way!!!
