Hi all,

I am starting to accumulate a few parts spare from my ongoing M8 restoration which I'll list here. These parts are surplus to my restoration and may be of use to someone else. I’ve attached a photo and a brief description. Please PM me if you want additional details or photos and I’ll email them to you. I can work out the freight cost at the time. The spare 37mm gun parts I had are now all sold.

* 37mm ready rack - missing the holders for the projectile end of the 37mm round. Asking $40 US (sold, pending funds)

* Instrument panel face plate - there is some corrosion around the speedo area which will need tidying up and filling. Asking $30 USD.

* Handbrake adjusting pin- this is a little bent but should straighten fine. Asking $5 USD.

* Transmission lever housing - some areas around the base have been damaged by corrosion. Asking $40 USD.

* Light Switch - I have checked this with a multimeter and it appears to work correctly. The indicator plate has been painted over but it is restorable. Asking $20.

* Turret traverse housing - a part of this where the handle would be has been cut away. Asking $5.

Hi all,

I have these turret seats and tower mounts surplus now if anyone is looking for them.

Both towers will need to have some repair work on the base of the tower where corrosion has got to them.

The seats will need new rollers and some fabrication of the lock lever.

I'm asking $200 USD for both plus the ride there.

I have a few more items which are surplus to my M8 restoration.


* .50 MG turret elevator mount. Complete with ammo can tray. Good condition. Asking $1500 USD.

* Throttle master cylinder. Missing internal piston. Asking $50 USD.

* Repro co-driver seat. Unused. Asking $100 USD

* Steel skirt for turret. About 600mm long. Ideal for turret repairs. Asking $30 USD.

* Master on/off switch. The switch works but the whole box will need a tidy up. Asking $30 USD. A French version is included.

* Radio box - used. As fitted in the sponson. No lid. Will clean up okay. Asking $15 USD.

* Exhaust piece. One end missing but still has the heat shield. Asking $30 USD.

* Drag link. NOS. Asking $120 USD.

* Turret traverse knob. Asking $10 USD.

* Protectoscope box holders. Both are bent and will require a little heat and straightening. $5 USD each.

* Shock absorber mount. A little corroded and one of the mounting tabs is a little bent. Asking $10 USD.

* Transmission lever housing – the top has been cutaway but is otherwise in very good shape. Complete with levers and locking screws. Asking $100 USD.

* Fan tunnels for the radiator. New reproduction. $120 USD each

* Brake backing plate. Will require some straightening. Asking $20 USD.

* Brake backing plate. Appears in good condition. Asking $40 USD.

* Brake slave cylinder caps. Will require restoration. Asking $10 USD for the adjustable end and $5 USD for the fixed end.

* Brake adjustment locking plate. Asking $5 USD.

* Brake shoe securing bolts with springs. Good condition. Asking $10 USD each.

* Sponson cover. French made. Rough but repairable. Asking $20 USD.

* Grenade box. Restored and painted. Latch pin is not original. Asking $50 USD.

* 37mm rack part. Asking $10 USD.

* Transmission lever housing. Corrosion damage around the base. Asking $20 USD.

* Propellor shaft piece. Requires repair. Asking $10 USD.
