Default Pattern 44 Web

I'm looking for a Pattern 44 web belt and pair of braces to attach to my Wireless set No.88. Not much of this equipment made its way to Canada. Is there any available in the UK?

I think Bruce just wants the standard 44pattern waistbelt and cross strap assembly to add the WS88 pouches to.

It's not hard to find in the UK (if you don't mind post-WW2 dates and don't need the 'Long' waistbelt).

I need a couple of the battery pouches (I have the set ones), but no luck so far - people tend use them as standard pouches.

Chris.

Chris is right, it's the standard '44 pattern belt and braces I'm after. Post war dates and normal sizes are fine. Here's some pics I stole from the internet.

Thy are not difficult to obtain over here, the Parachute Regiment favoured the waistbelt over the 58 pattern (apparently), but getting the 'L' size is difficult and expensive.

I'll keep an eye open for you at the next militaria fair. (While I'm searching for anything with ZA (or ZN) stores codes that I don't already have.)

Chris.

Thanks Chris. I could use the Canadian equivalent-ish '51 Pattern but it just wouldn't be the same!!
