Default 1st Canadian Centaur Battery, RCA

Apologizes, with Clive’s sudden passing, I forgot to share this article that I had published on 31 May 2017 - 1st Canadian Centaur Battery, RCA, located here: https://servicepub.wordpress.com/201...r-battery-rca/

Cheers

Default 1st Centaur btty pics?

Thanks so much for posting your article.
I first became aware of this unit thanks to an old Barry Beldam drawing in RT (IPMS Canada mag) back in the '70's and in the Gunners of Canada. and would love to build the model.
Any idea of the markings or any phoyos known?
Thanks
Gord

Gordon, to the best of my knowledge, the Centaur self-propelled equipments operated by 1st Canadian Centaur Battery, RCA, were never marked, and would have had the remnants of the markings of the Royal Marines Armoured Support Group, who originally operated them. Also, there is nothing in Library and Archives Canada files, that even suggests that the battery was issued an Arm of Service marking instruction, nor of instructions issued regarding the formation sign the battery was to use. As for photos of the Centaur self-propelled equipments in 1st Canadian Centaur Battery use, I’ve never come across any.

Cheers
