Default CDN Dodge 3/4 Ton Truck Manuals

I am looking for original printed Canadian manuals for Dodge 3/4 Ton Trucks (M37 Cargo, M42 Command, M43 Ambulance).

- Repair Manual: CDN-VEH-D114

- Operator's Manual: CDN-OM9-840

Also, Im not sure if there is a parts manual, but if so, I would like to find a copy of that too.

Please contact me by PM if you have any of these manuals that you would like to sell to a good home.

Thanks!

Default Manuals

I have the Repair Manual scanned to memory stick and hold a hard copy of both the Repair Manual and whatever the parts book is called. Its missing covers and a few of the front pages. I'm hanging on to them while I still have the trucks but can send you the memory stick which a copy centre or Staples can use to produce a hard copy. I had couple printed and save the original for the bookcase. I have not gotten around to having the parts books scanned but can look up anything you need.

Rob probably has copies of all this stuff in better condition that most of the rest of us.

Now that your 1/4T is finished, are you moving on to 3/4T trucks? If you are and need parts, I can give you some contacts here on the west coast that may be of use. Just let me know.

Jes & Rob; Thanks for your responses. Ill wait to see what turns up in Rob's search, and go from there.

Jess: I cant say much about my next potential project, as it is not a solid plan yet, but If I do get a 3/4T under way, Ill be sure to get in touch.

Thanks!!

You must realize that once you have a 1/4T and 3/4T the only way is to go up to a deuce for a matched set. You should be able to find these old trucks in many places around Alberta. I've seen photos but haven't had locations shared for fear of border raiding. Some of the regulars here on MLU will know where if you are shopping. Have fun and keep us posted.

That is a scary thought Jes. Perhaps I should slowly back away while there is still a chance...

Wayne, I sold mine many years ago. What I can tell you is that the Canadian manuals are superior to the US ones. Much more detail and resolution in the photos. I also found the US manuals handy whenever there was an aspect that the Cdn manual missed. Together they compliment each other and we're a great resource when I did my frame off restoration.
Look south for US sheet metal if you get one and need parts. I passed on a mint cargo box last year for $500 and a pair of front fenders at $250 each...
Didn't need them but should have grabbed them...

Good luck on your next project Wayne, I started with an M38A1 CDN2 and followed that up with an M37 CDN. I've since worked my way up to 6 wheel firetruck and 5ton M931A2 among a dozen other things. It just never stops...

I started the other way....I bought a M37 Dodge at age 17 and drove it to high school. The M38 came next, just in time to drive it from Winnipeg to Borden in early March when I joined the army at age 19.

A conservative estimate is that I have had about 130 pieces of military equipment since then, although a number of those would be trailers, so they don't really count.

Default Do have some manuals

Don't know if you found the manuals but I do have some electronic copies as well as a parts conversion with NAPA parts.

Also several TM- manuals for heater, hard top, etc. as well

Welcome to send them email

Hi Bob; I found most of what I was looking for. I’ll talk to you in January about the digital copies you have, or maybe I’ll find a day to come up to see you.

Default Steel Soldiers TMs

Wayne, if you haven't already found them there are a number of TMs for the M37 series of trucks posted om Steel Soldiers. Some are grouped in one post and others have been added. Although these are not CDN, they offer and alternative if you don't have the RCEME Repair Manual.
