Default Mortar carrier paint job????????????

Hi, Has anyone got any info on weather Mortar carriers were used in desert conditions and may of had the distruptive cammo applied. I have attached a pic of a Mk1 in this scheme, but did the 3" Mk1 Mortar carriers ever have this sheme applied. If so any pictures please.

I do not think it matters what paint scheme you apply to your carrier within reason. Local conditions ditcated what was used. Look at the LRDG colours, pink, light green and sand ,all three on their vehicles

that is the caunter patern Kevin, i might put that on mine if i can find any reference that may suggest the 2nd Bat RSF used it in Tunisia / Persia ?

if not it will have to be that brownish colour ascociated with the Italy campaign

There was a very good article in a issue of the MV Trust Windscreen last year. Can't remember which issue.
I'll have tonight unless someone beats me to it.

Regards

Must learn not to write things in a hurry when I am half out of the office.

I forgot to add that the article was about the "Gaunter Scheme" Disruptive Camouflage.
The article is in Windscreen number 119 Summer 2008
If anyone cannot get a copy of Windscreen let me know I can scan it in a email to you.

Sorry for the confusion

Kev
