Photos are not mine, btw; they were posted on the HMVF site some time ago.

Owen.

power pump.

the power pump is a Canadian Fairbanks-morse # 700 typhoon duplex , leather packed piston pump like the one in the movie.

Thanks for that Guy. :note:

Hi owen
it is a very good manual with a lot of information, if he does not sell it I will also get it from Rob.
unfortunately there are no sizes mentioned or large of filters or the like.
greetings Guy

I am very happy today at the further combing of the old garage I found the second runnigboard,
she also served as a shelf under an old workbench,
I also found an old I think Canadian work box with 11 nos English bicycle lamps in their original condition still in the box.
I will post some photos on the forum later

here are some pictures of the runnigboards I spoke of which I still found in the garage.

I hope I will find original parts, hopefully a filter or a pump

Guy Verstrepen 28-12-18 17:19

owen

the power pump is driven directly by the pto by means of a cardan shaft.

the pto is switched on by a handle inside the cab.

greetings Guy.

Owen.

The salvaged bits are for my MWC, I will post a couple of photos to show what they look like now in a couple of days.

According to the Bedford/Morris Parts list the Mono Pump is a type SC3

On earlier MWC's the pump was attached to the from bumper and driven directly off the engine. Later variants use a power take off.

(I am also looking for pumps and filters, especially a mono pump)

Cheers
Richard

Thanks for posting those photos Guy. :thup2: My Chev is a 4x2, so no transfer case. The pump was driven off a PTO mounted to the side of the transmission. Similar to Richard's MWC setup.

Hey guys.

indeed the p.t.o. departs from the transmission.
see the first 2 images.

on the last 2 images you can see that mistakes are made in the factory too, if you look closely you can see on the floorboard the adjustment where the cut-out for the p.t.o. was first made and later put something aside and the old holes and slip are backed up.

thanks again for your response here and I wish everyone a happy new year.

Guy,

Congrats! Very nice work. Are you planning to take the truck to any events in the near future? (Wings and Wheels?, XXX Corps?)

regards,
Alex

Hi everyone .

we drove a test drive today and got a very loud knocking sound, when I release the trottle it stops immediately so it must be a vacuum problem someone has an idea what the problem is.

could the problem come from the Vacuum control on the distributor ???

Guy.
