3 inch Stokes Mortar

Hello all, I am looking for information regarding the WW1 stokes Mortar used by most Commonwealth Forces.
How much different from the latter 3 inch Mortar?
There appears to be several variants of base plates and rounds.
The Stokes were also used in early WW2 and in some places well after.
Thanks,
Wayne.

Stokes

Hi Rob, thanks for the offer, I have all the information on the WW2 3 inch mortar, just trying to find out if the Stokes is different and in what way.
Appears there were many around even in early WW2 but information is a bit thin.

No worries Wayne
From what I've read on the subject I think you are right about the Stokes.
It was certainly around and in general service way after WW1.
Good luck with the research
