Garner 4x4 trucks/tractors

Geoff on the other thread dared to ask for a question no one on this forum would be able to answer.
Well, I actually hope someone will answer, but the chance is rather slim.
Here it comes: Vanderveen says the Straussler/Garner 4x4 truck was built (just 53 vehicles) and used by the Brits in North Africa and possibly the Far East. He also says part of the batch was delivered to Turkey. Is this true, were any Garners send to Turkey?
