Fuel Tank Change Over Valve
Hi Guys, picked up a couple of these fuel tank change over valves the other day. Just wondering if this is true Carrier , say MK1 * or is it later CMP?. I have other CMP valves that are different to this one. It has the letters , C01UC-106011-C.
Do you think the UC in the letters denotes Universal Carrier ? . Just that I have not seen this style of valve before, Cheers Andrew.

Andrew,
proper and correct, later model with angled input side C= Canada, 0= 1940, 1= model #1, UC, universal carrier -C after part number for version |

Thanks for that, it does make sense as they did come from an estate that had wrecked 60 carriers over the years , and we managed to get the last of the parts, cheers Andrew.

Michael R,
I am inclined to offer a slight correction to your decoding of the part number prefix. 1 = 85 hp engine. Images from FUC-03. Colin |

Yes !, thanks Colin. 1=85hp engine for Ford Canada products. It is the British who use a different engine numbering system to identify the 65, 85, 95, & 100hp universal & Windsor carrier engines. Lynn E. mentions this a number of times? |
