Default If you go down to the woods today

Or more specifically, The New Forest here in the UK. About a year ago, I and another MV collector, were asked to value not one but two GPW's for probate This we duly did and expressed some interest in purchasing them, if they became available. Well, one thing has lead to another, and I am now the proud owner of one of the GPW's. This one was registered in Portsmouth in 1948, and has only had 3 previous owners. The last owner had the engine rebuilt in 1997, and had done very little to it since then.
I am very tempted to get her up and running, and show her as she is, just to be different .
Just shows, they are still out there !

Hi Keith,
Well done.
I saw that the one in the auction yesterday went for a very reasonable amount considering there was another body with it. Assume this was the other one of those you looked at?

cheers Richard

Hi Richard
No, the other one ( Jan 45) was purchased by the other collector who helped in the valuation for probate. I agree with you, not a bad price on the one that was in the auction. We also picked up a 43 Willys trailer at the same time. Both jeeps and the trailer are now safely tucked away under cover.
Best regards
Keith

Is there no conflict of interest if the valuer and purchaser are the same person?
