My, you have been busy indeed!

That first one is a F60L.

Great finds though - Australia really is the haven for old CMPs, eh?

I really like the cab 12s.

Probably why you mistook a long wheelbase for a "Medium".

"Are you there, Bert? Knock on the table for the number of cartons the old truck is worth. Is that 3 knocks? 3 slabs of VB coming up."

That looks like the remains of a Gar-Wood wrecker body on the back? Certainly well made for a Sawmill job.

Tony

That looks like the D45 pole derrick ,usually seen on the C-30 model CMPs...
I have the model in my CMP bodies manual as well as the wrecker model..
This pole derrick came in models...D35-45-55-and 65...
FYI...

Obviously "Bert" had better taste in trucks than beer! Does anybody still drink VB?

Two possible answers to that intriguing question:

(1) "any port 'n the storm..."
(2) "don't reckon the dead guy will complain too loudly"

Ya see, they don' call me SUNRAY for nuttink!

I spoke to the owner of the derrick truck several years ago, back then it was owned by the fellow that owned the burnt out truck in this same thread, If I remember correctly he said he got the derrick truck in that configeration from the services (auctions?). He was very happy with the truck and with what it could do. When I last went for a drive past it 4 weeks ago I was disapointed to see it was no longer there, but I was pleased to see it on the other side of town.

Default Border Raider

Hmmmm James
Going to have to watch you from now on. These field trips and discoveries are a worry, you may be coming over my border soon. I think you had better stay home now and restore what you have. Very well done for all your latest posts.
Bob

Richard, When Bob Dillan wrote "the times, they are a-changing" he could well have been singing about beer.
I think VB would still be the most populst for now, but more & more people are switching to boutique & low volume beers such as Boags, Coopers, and many pubs in the citys now brew their own.
Personally the last carton I bought was German, "Konig" Pilsner.
When next within kooee of Ganmain, look us up & experience some good home brew!
