Default Ex-military?

I came across these shots taken aparently near Dublin, and I would guess around 1955? Are they ex-military I wonder?

David,

I think so. The first, third and fourth pictures seem to show Mack NO's, the prime mover for the 155mm gun and 8inch. The second picture seem to be a different model Mack.....NM? NR?

I have to think of your Pearsons book which shows some Mack monsters.

Alex

David,

As Alex stated, those are likely ex-military Mack chassis, but the tipping bodies are a civilian addition. The military would not overload their trucks in the way civilian operators do.

Hi Col Princess is fine and I think early WW2 German stuff was painted Field Grey but it did change towards the middle of the war with different camoflage colours and of course the desert yellow the Afrika Corp. used. Others more knowledgeable will correct me I'm sure.
