After WW1 this captured German Krupp (dated 1917) gun was located in Saskatoon's fair grounds, and was reloacted about 20 yrs ago to the local Militia Armouries.
I believe this only is the ordnance of the gun, and the rest of the gun was carried separate. Can anyone identify whay type and calibre it is? Cheers, Wes

This is a German 15cm K L/40 and is actually a naval gun used by the army.
The carriage above was used to transport the barrel only to keep the weight down to a manageable size in battlefield conditions. The trail, shield and saddle were towed seperately. The seat shown was for the brakeman. |
