Default Wheels, UC, T16?

On the G503 forum there is a posting from a contributor in the US who has 6 wheels he would like to positively identify. They appear to be carrier of some type.
The posting can be found in the 'Other MV's,US' box under 'Tracked'.

Default These wheels were made for rolling.

Seems like they may be a good candidate to go under a Ruston Hornsby or Ronaldson Tippet or some such piece of machinery.

They remind me a bit of the baggage wagon wheels one used to see years ago at railway stations, when the trains were pulled about by those big smokey thingies that snorted and hissed a lot.

Default Hold on a minute!

The thing that makes me wonder about the wheels is the fact that from John's description they have axles threaded on both ends as if intended to be mounted in a suspension unit. Baggage trolleys etc use a simple rigid axle with a wheel on each end.
Maybe they should not be so easily dismissed.

Not carrier wheels.... Just look like run of the mill stationary engine wheels.

Someone posted similar wheels under the re-rubbering thread, I believe they were going on a Ruston stationary engine.

Default Not baggage trolley but perhaps bang gage trolley!!

Maybe from a bomb trolley. There are quite a few pictures of bomb trolleys with wheels not too dissimilar to these.
