I have had this set off instructions kicking around for years now and only now noticed the dating of them in July 1957. The actual printing was 3 Aug 1957, but what struck me was why it took 5 years of service life for the M38 equipment before anyone came up with a need to install the 19-Set in them. Did the Suez Crisis light a fire somewhere I wonder?

David,
Great find. That means the 19 was installed in Jeeps and in service very late into the 50's .

Until 1962 -1964, along with the 52-Set. Very much a custom installation as far as the M38's go. Pretty sure the C42 replaced the 19-Set. Not at all sure what took over from the 52-Set on the high power side.
