Default Gourmet Cooking Downunder

This is a very clear indicator that there are some very peculiar blokes Downunder.... one can only ask, "What in the hell NEXT?!"

ADDENDUM -- Why on earth would someone want to eat something that eats spiders?! Double GAAAK!

('scuse me, gotta go cack up a furball right now)

Geoff,

Have you ever choked back a lobster? Image the bravery (or amount of alcohol) it took for the first person to eat one of those critters!

Default Crayfish?

Crayfish here are about the size of what comes out of the south end of a northbound moggie. Come to think of it, about the same colour and texture, too. Hmmm.... probably taste the same as well, but there's a grand tradition of eating the disgusting little things over here. Those and clams, which look like cooked baby's tongues....

I culd go on adn on...

Default More disgusting things

What's also disgusting is escargots in garlic butter, but for some reason I've acquired a liking for them. My ex used to call them 'slugs 'n butter' and would gaak when I ordered a double order at a restaurant and proceeded to scarf them down and soak up the garlic butter with garlic bread. She'd stay away from me for a week afterwards.

Hmmm... mebbe THAT's why I liked them...
