All:
I picked the Ford engine green color associated with engines made during 1940 for commercial vehicles assuming that early on Ford would have used them on F8's.

As for the transmission, I used black engine paint because that's all I had and I intend on changing it out anyway. The new one will use the same Ford engine green as that was on the original tranny that came with the truck. Yep! After cleaning off all the gunk, there was that green paint!

As for the drive shaft and differential, they'll both be the same color as the truck itself.
