Default Numbers

Thank you for the data guys! The two numbers are the lowest and highest known C15 numbers (to me) to date! If the engine is original, then the number is on a stamped pad on the block, and near the block casting number is a casting date code: LETTER (A to L) for Month (Jan to dec), DIGIT(S) (1 to 31) then 0 for 1940, 1 for 1941 etc. I estimate that it's a 1940 build and that's as far as I can go at present. Oh, a 1940 MODEL of course...the first British orders were all 1941 Models!
