C15a had 6.5:1 diffs C30 ,C60s , C60l and CGT have 7.16:1 diffs
Axles are interchangeable but Ford and Chev have different housings
So if you want more road speed you need C15a centers

Long term it would be benificial not to modify a gun tractor as they are quite rare and worth more unmodified and restored to original
