I have also been keeping my eyes open since we spoke about this subject months ago, but not even seen a crappy one.........anywhere.
Are you sure yours is beyond repair by a steering wheel restorer? They can work miracles. I looked into this subject some time ago, because I fully expected to need this service myself. As it turned out, I was extremely lucky. If there isn't a suitable service in NZ, I can put you in touch with a firm in Aus.
